The Key-Hole Back Support is a wheelchair back support designed for use by individuals with spinal curvature and other back disabilities. This back supports the user in an upright position, enhancing posture, visual field, respiratory function, balance and trunk support. The unit conforms to the individual body shape and a stretch fabric panel adjusts automatically to the severity of kyphosis, ensuring a custom fit. The user can change positions without sacrificing general support. Split back construction provides adjustability without uncomfortable upholstery folds. The cushioned front increases comfort, adds support and decreases pressure on bony areas. The unit also provides secure lumbar support and the adjustable, heavy-duty Velcro straps offer secure support to high or lower back involvement
The back provides support for the back below and on either side of the kyphosis and more extreme kyphosis can be accommodated without compromising lumbar support by using a wider Keyhole Back. Constructed of durable nylon fabric, the unit slides over the back canes of the wheelchair. Available in a slip-on or screw-on style, the back fits most wheelchairs. The wheelchair can be folded for transport or storage with the back in place. The back wipes clean.
