DISCONTINUED. (Verified 12/2002) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Windows Master is a screen reader program designed to support braille and speech output for individuals who are blind or have low vision. This program converts icons, windows and other imaging displays into formats that can be read on a refreshable braille display or a speech synthesizer. You will know the status of all menu items, controls, which window is active and additional characteristics. You can search for specific colors, text types, icons and other graphic subtleties. Windows Master supports all of the Arkenstone Openbook speech drivers including Braille 'n Speak, Accent, DECTalk, DoubleTalk (see separate entries) and more. The installation procedure is DOS-based so the user may install it prior to using windows, and there is an option to start Windows with or without the Windows Master after it has been installed. The program provides keyboard functions to emulate mouse movement, click and double click functions; full pop up menu support; and support for all standard Windows controls.
