Picture of BIODEX BALANCE SYSTEM SD The Biodex Balance System SD is a balance training biofeedback device designed for use by individuals with balance disabilities. The user stands on a platform while viewing real-time visual biofeedback on a high-resolution color touch-screen liquid crystal display (LCD). The platform tilts 20 degrees from horizontal in all directions, and comes with two adjustable support handles that lock in place for safety or swing away for an unobstructed, open environment for a variety of training activities. The biofeedback display prompts the user into proper postural and balance control. The unit has six training modes and four assessment protocols, including interactive game-like balance training, standardized fall screening, and athletic knee injury screening tests. Balance training includes proprioception, stabilization, range of motion, and weight shift exercises. Printed color reports track progress and document outcomes. The unit can store more than 500 tests for later recall or data export. The unit can be moved on transport wheels. POWER: Uses 115 volts alternating current (AC) or 230 volts AC. DIMENSIONS (HxDxW): 8 x 30 x 44 inches. The platform is 21.5 inches in diameter. The viewing area of the color touch-screen display is 5 x 6.6 inches. The display height is adjustable from 53 to 68 inches above platform and a maximum of 76 inches above the floor. The support rails are adjustable from 25 to 36.5 inches above the platform. CAPACITY: 400 pounds. WEIGHT: 196 pounds. WARRANTY: Two years on parts; one year on labor.
