Picture of STICKYBEAR SCIENCE FAIR LIGHT Stickybear Science Fair Light is a science tutorial program designed for children from second grade through seventh grade who have cognitive or learning disabilities. The program provides an environment which allows children to explore, experiment with, and understand light and its properties. Stickybear Science Fair Light presents experiments, both structured and free-form, that allows students to work with prisms, lenses, color mixing, and optical illusions. Historical data is coupled with a user-produced journal which aids in the reinforcement of scientific method. Children enter their own responses and the result of their experiments, print out take-home sheets and hands-on off-screen experiment instructions. Teachers can assign sections and tasks that students can research and complete both on and off-screen. The program encourages computer use as a tool for both group and individual participation. The school versions and above also come with freely reproducible lesson plans and manipulative masters. COMPATIBILITY: Windows or Macintosh. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: For stand alone CD: Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7, CD ROM drive and 32 MB of RAM; Mac OS 9, PowerPC, CD ROM drive and 32 MB of RAM.
