-- Discontinued. Verified 8/2012. Retained in database for reference. -- The Thermovoice II is a voice output thermometer designed for use by individuals with visual disabilities. It is compact, lightweight and clearly announces the temperature in either Fahrenheit (F) or Celsius (C). The electronic thermometer includes a clinical probe that is designed for taking body tempature but can be used to take other temperatures as well (eg. water, air or suface temperatures in the range of 6 degrees F to 280 degrees F). In addition the thermometer has a +/- 0.4 degrees F accuracy in the medical range (94 degress F to 108 degrees F). All the controls and jacks are labeled in braille. 50 disposable probe sleeves, nylon carrying case, earphone, and large print and cassette instruction are also included. OPTIONS: Also available are an AC adapter, meat probe, clinical probe and disposable probe sleeves. POWER: Operates on one nine volt battery (not included). DIMENSIONS: 7.5 x 4 x 1.5 inches. WEIGHT: 10 ounces. WARRANTY: One-year AFB limited.
