Picture of PACAPACA PACAPACA (Personal Augmentative Alternative Communication Aid) is a communicator program designed for use by children or adults with communication disabilities. This program is available in Hebrew and multilingual versions for PDAs (personal digital assistants), mobile devices, and desktop computers. The program uses a pre-defined dictionary of words along with their speech sounds. Each word in the dictionary is assigned to one of 8 available categories. The user sees the list in a standard layout, and can switch categories using the category side bar. When a word is chosen from the list, it disappears from the list and appears in the sentence bar. Words chosen subsequently appear after the previous ones, forming a sentence. Pressing a word in the sentence bar removes it from the sentence bar and returns it to the list. When the sentence is formed, the user presses the speech button and the whole sentence is spoken. A picture-based version is also available. COMPATIBILITY: For use on a personal digital assistant (PDA), mobile device, or desktop computer. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: For PDAs using a Pocket PC platform.

Notes: This program may be downloaded for free from the manufacturer's web site.

Price: FREE.
