--- "DO IT YOURSELF" ENTRY ------- PURPOSE: Pick for persons with contracted or amputated fingers or flaccid hand tone. Large flat and elongated plastic pick has an elastic cuff. Velcro strap adds support and adjustability.
DO IT YOURSELF ENTRY --- PURPOSE: To make a pencil easier to grasp for a person with grasping disabilities. With scissors, cut strips from a section of rubber pipe insulation. Glue the strips to a pencil. MATERIALS: pencil; rubber pipe insulation; glue.
"DO IT YOURSELF" ENTRY --- PURPOSE: To enable individuals with fine motor or vision disabilities to stay within lines on a tablet or write in straight lines. To make the guide, place a sheet of card stock on flat surface.
--- "DO IT YOURSELF" ENTRY ------- PURPOSE: Pick for persons who need to use elbow or shoulder abduction or adduction motion. A pick is inserted into the end of a Y shaped bilateral beater (a Y shaped dowel assembly). Includes drawing.
"DO IT YOURSELF" ENTRY --- PURPOSE: To enable people with fine motor or grasping disabilities to use a zipper. Cut 6 to 8 inches of fishing line and thread it through the hole in the zipper pull. Tie the ends together.
