Affordable Colleges Online
Since their initiation in 2012, Affordable Colleges Online (ACO) has been creating in-depth resources that address topics, questions and concerns related to higher education with an eye on affordability and accreditation. Resources include comprehensive guidebooks, student interviews, user-friendly search tools, federal datasets, information about financial aid and college savings, opportunities for veterans and people with disabilities, and other materials created and vetted by experts in their fields.
As online learning at not-for-profit schools continues to rise, ACO is keeping their resources up-to-date with the growing trends. They collaborated with several higher education experts and spent a number of months manually researching over 50,000 online programs to create a more comprehensive, up-to-date database than any current government data set available. In addition to making their proprietary database available to the public, this resource includes a target-focused section with advice for those students interested in transitioning from community college to an online degree program.
