The Adapted Sequenced Inventory of Communication Development for Adolescents and Adults with Severe Handicaps, model FUWA-SICD-1, is a language development evaluation system designed for use with adolescents and adults whose language skills are in the range of birth to four years of age or who have little or no speech or who are understood only by those closest to them. Adaptations are described for clients who have cerebral palsy and other motor disabilities. Examiners are also encouraged to make whatever adaptations are needed. The test is based on the Sequenced Inventory of Communication Development-Revised, an instrument designed for use with young children with severe disabilities. The Adapted edition reflects extensive revision to meet the needs of adolescent and adult populations and preserve client dignity. The complete kit includes an administration manual, an interpretation manual, 50 assessment booklets, 50 Receptive Skills Checklists and Profiles, 50 Expressive Skills Checklists and Profiles, and more than 60 items used in the administration of the test. A set of one administration manual and one interpretation manual ($40), 50 assessment booklets ($45), 50 Receptive Skills Checklists and Profiles ($25), 50 Expressive Skills Checklists and Profiles ($25) are also available separately.
