The Oralflo Pill Swallowing Cup is a cup with pill holder designed for use by children (ages four and up) and adults with autism, stroke, dysphagia, Down Syndrome Alzheimer's disease, arthritis, visual impairments or who otherwise have difficulty swallowing pills. This cup is designed to allow the natural swallow reflex to ingest medications. The Oralflo cup's snap-on lid has a specially designed ribbed spout. Users simply place the pill inside the spout and tip the cup back, drinking as they normally would. The angle and flow of the liquid push the pill to the back of the throat so it washes down easily. The device accepts all pill sizes currently on the market, eliminates the need to cut or crush pills, and is ideal for time release or coated pills. To use, fill the cup with juice or water, drop the pill into the mouthpiece and drink naturally. This combines the motion of eating and drinking to create a natural way to swallow pill medication.
