DISCONTINUED. (Verified 03/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. The Panasonic 5.8 GHz FHSS GigaRange Supreme Expandable Digital Cordless Phone System with Talking Caller ID, model KX-TGA5230M, is a cordless telephone with voice output caller identification designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This telephone announces the caller's name and number between rings when that information is available. The telephone operates on a single line but can have up to four handsets (one included). All handsets in the system can be paged simultaneously by speaking through the base unit. Other features include a visual call signal (the tip of the base unit antenna lights up red to signal an incoming call or a message); call waiting caller ID, which identifies callers during another call; and speakerphone capacity. POWER: Uses NiMH batteries. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 9.2 x 10.4 x 4.9 inches. WEIGHT: 3.3 pounds. COLOR: Metallic gray.
