Tool Factory Painter is a drawing and graphics program designed for use by children with learning and cognitive disabilities. The program offers a wide range of colors; special effects such as wash, tint, swirl, and ripple; full control of pen and brush size, shape, and density; adjustable shapes, including rectangle, circle, parallelogram, polygons, and stars; the ability to select regular and irregular areas and a crop-to function; symmetry, color cycling, tiling grid, transparency, and clone; and a stamping feature that allows clip art and photographs to be stamped on the page. Hundreds of searchable photographs and stamps are included and users can import their own photographs. This program supports a wide variety of file formats, making it compatible with digital cameras or scanners. The program offers voice reading of text. Tool Factory Administrator is included. COMPATIBILITY: Versions are available for use on IBM and compatible computers and Macintosh computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: The IBM version requires a Pentium or better processor; CD-ROM drive; Windows 95, 98, 2000, or XP; 16-bit 800 x 600 color graphics; and 32 megabytes (MB) RAM. The Macintosh version requires Power PC, Operating System 8.0, CD-ROM drive, 800 x 600 color monitor, and 24 MB RAM.
