DISCONTINUED. (Verified 3/2005) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. ZoomText For DOS is a RAM-resident screen magnification program designed to enlarge screen characters up to eight times standard size for individuals with low vision. The program has 5 zooming modes to give the user maximum flexibility in viewing options. Full Zoom and Quick Zoom magnify a portion of the display to full screen size. Line Zoom magnifies a single line at a time. Area Zoom and Lens Zoom magnify text in a window that can be sized, moved, and scrolled. The program has 11 magnification levels from 2 times to 16 times original size. Three sans-serif (smooth-edged) fonts are available in all magnification sizes. Cursor, mouse, and menu bar movement can be traced on, while four justifications control how text is scrolled during tracking. The magnified window can be smoothly panned in all zooming modes, with adjustable speed, direction, and ending options. Complete color control is available, including normal, reverse, black and white and two-color settings. All options can be controlled from pop-up menus, keyboard shortcuts, and command line parameters. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM PC, XT, AT, and PS/2 computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Dos 3.3 or later and an EGA or VGA graphics adapter is necessary to run ZoomText.
